Gary Douglas is the man who developed the unique tools, techniques and strategies for life, that is Access Consciousness.

Born in the American Midwest and raised in San Diego, California, Mr. Douglas has always been on a spiritual path, seeking deeper answers to life's mysteries.  His innate curiosity has allowed him to question what didn’t seem to be working in life and to seek alternatives to the popular views and accepted wisdom of today.

For more than 40 years he has researched the efficacy of numerous methodologies and self-help programs. What he has developed will totally challenge all preconceived notions; inspiring you to look at life from a totally different perspective.

Mr. Douglas describes the creation of Access Consciousness as a series of revelations and insights that started coming through in about July 1990 when he was a successful realtor and antique dealer in Santa Barbara, California. He began channeling information about points on the head that act like a computer storage bank for all our thoughts, feelings, emotions, considerations, attitudes, decisions about anything that we have ever decided was important in this or any other lifetime.

He had thought that the information could be used as a class for massage therapists so he called four friends to come to a class on energy work. That was the first Access Consciousness class and the discovery of the process called “Running the “Bars” which is the foundation of this work.

Since then, Access Consciousness has been a co-creation with the more than 2,500 people who have participated in the classes. Mr Douglas says “The tools of Access Consciousness allow people to access what they know and so begin to create the future they would really like to have.”

Mr Douglas has a BA in Psychology from The University of Santa Barbara and has authored or co-authored seven books on the applicability of Access Consciousness tools.  His book “Talk to the Animals” describes his technique of intuitive healing with animals, especially horses, and shows us how to use the tools of consciousness to access our own innate ability to be in communion with animals in our lives.
